The 2023 Otago Interschool Teams Chess Championships were held this month. Intermediate and Primary were held 17 June at Trinity Catholic College and Secondary on 24th June at Logan Park High School, both in Dunedin.
The James Hargest teams both put up impressive results with the Secondary A team winning 1st place out of 17 teams with 5/6 points and the Intermediate team taking 2nd out of 10 teams with 6/7 points. James Hargest Secondary B team scored 3.5 points placing 7th/17. Well done to all the players in all teams, and big thanks to Otago Interschools for allowing Southland teams to compete.
So great to see so many of our club members involved. Look forward to seeing what else you achieve!
