The Invercargill-Southland Chess Club held it’s first open chess ‘weekender’ in a number of years at the Invercargill Bridge Club from 14-16 July 2023.
A pleasing field of 27 faced each other over 6 rounds of 60 + 30 chess.
We hope that the ‘Southern Classic’ becomes an annual fixture in the Southland chess calendar.
